stalkers are overrated

I think that Google Maps is amazing. Personally, I really don't care about privacy concerns. Anyone can take a picture of your house and post it up on the internet. Or even follow you around and take pictures of where you go. So I don't see whats the problem. I find that the new enhanced Google Maps to be useful. When I have to go somewhere, where I've never been, all I have is this address and I have no idea where I would end up. Since it has the street view, I can acutally see the area where I would end up.

I think the whole idea of "stalkers" watching you is overrated. First of all, it's not like it's live video feed. It's pictures that have been taken months before. So technically, other than seeing yourself randomly at a street corner, I don't see the harm. Besides, all these strangers have already seen your house anyways. It doesn't matter if you see a picture of yourself online, without the photographer getting your permission. Not only are you in a public area, but that happens all the time on facebook. This isn't any different. It's not like you can acutally look inside someone's house or window. Also, who really has the time to look all over the streets to find a certain 'someone'? So, I really don't get this 'hype' over this pirvacy issue, there's nothing to it.

Therefore, I believe that Google has created an amazing technology and everyone needs to get over the fact that 'stalkers' may be watching.

p.s. Who wants to look around Toronto, when you could see the rest of the world?!
